November 2020 - Bought our home in Anacortes!
Our experience with Jones Atterberry and Leslie Iacolucci, of the John L Scott office in Anacortes, made the remote shopping experience both comfortable and trustworthy. In many ways, it was preferable to old-fashioned house hunting. They advised us on the locales and neighborhoods. They did all the driving around, and they patiently turned their phone cameras on every nook and cranny we asked to see. Once we chose the home, they helped us to successfully negotiate the terms of the offer. The closing process was the easiest we had ever experienced.
We never expected to buy a house without ever seeing it in person, but the world has changed. E-signing legal documents has been more common over the last few years for a range of business activities, so we expected a remote closing to be feasible. Searching for houses over the internet is a good place to start, but to feel confident purchasing a home remotely requires knowledgeable realtors, ready to walk the house, camera in hand. Jones and Leslie were our "feet on the ground" throughout the entire house buying experience.
For each step of the process, through the inspection and the close, Leslie and Jones were readily available (despite awkward time zone differences). We asked them to return to the property many times to answer questions that would pop into our heads along the way. We used commonly available apps on smart phones to video chat, and the experience was as good. We would gladly recommend Leslie and Jones to anyone looking to buy in the area, and to embrace remote shopping.
